There are two common forms of Vitamin K - phytonadione, is the natural form of Vitamin K, which is found in plants and is the main way that humans obtain Vitamin K.  Menaquinones, or Vitamin K2, are made by bacteria in the human gut and also provide some of our required Vitamin K intake.
